Marty Lang has been practicing matrimonial and family law for over twenty years, and has garnered a nationwide reputation as a leader in the field with an emphasis on representing Dads in contested custody disputes.

The New York Times published an article entitled, “Fathers Play Larger Roles In Custody” on April 20, 1997, and featured Mr. Lang and his son, Brandon, on the front page. The foregoing focused on Mr. Lang’s custody fight, commenced when Brandon was three years old, and encompassed a recommendation for sole custody despite Brandon’s mother having been a full-time, stay-at-home caretaker, which ultimately resulted in an uncommon and unusual joint custodial arrangement – equality and co-parenting. Mr. Lang’s personal matrimonial proceeding recognized by The New York Times catapulted him to statewide and national prominence as the leader in advancing fathers’ rights in New York State courtrooms.

A graduate of Kent State University and The Jacob D. Fuchsberg School of Law, Mr. Lang has lectured extensively and been featured on both radio and television for his expertise in custody matters. Custody proceedings are those requiring contemplation, strategy, and a fine attention to detail coupled with a personal and professional wealth of expertise.
